American rapper Snoop Dogg revealed that he has entered into a partnership with the virtual gaming world Sandbox. The announcement disclosed that Snoop Dogg was recreating his own mansion in Sandbox and would also launch his new non-fungible token (NFT) collection. A few days ago, the rapper had doxed himself as a crypto whale, disclosing that he owned millions of dollars worth of NFT token assets. The media personality, business, songwriter and actor announced his partnership with The Sandbox, which is a non-fungible token (NFT) metaverse project. Essentially, it is a gaming ecosystem that allows people to create, monetize gaming experiences on Ethereum (ETH) and share them. 

It was reported on September 22nd that Snoop Dogg disclosed his secret online personality by the name of Cozomo de’ Medici’, an individual who was known in the crypto community for owning NFTs worth millions of dollars. Now, it appears that the rapper wants to take the NFT game further and this partnership with The Sandbox is clearly the next step. It will allow the media personality to recreate his mansion in the metaverse. This means that players will be able to play the role of Snoop Dogg himself and experience his concerts and parties. 

In addition, the announcement also mentioned that the Doggfather was introducing an NFT collection as well as a limited ‘Snoop Dogg Private Party Pass’ that would provide users VIP access to Q&As, events, concerts and dedicated NFT drops. The announcement went on to say that a 3D Avatar collection would also be introduced by Snoop Dogg inside The Sandbox. This would allow players to use virtual ‘Doggfather’ items for creating games, such as Snoop Dogg’s personal car collection, memorabilia, status, dogs and more. The co-founder and chief executive of the Sandbox virtual game, Arthur Madrid said that their aim was to build the future of entertainment that would allow people to create and share their own virtual experiences.

He added that with Snoop Dogg, the Sandbox would bring iconic culture and would enhance it with innovations like virtual experiences and NFTs. The CEO said that the rapper’s LAND is fully decentralized and owned by him 100% for developing through his creative genius. There will be a land sale on the Sandbox on September 30th, 2021 and participants would be able to purchase land adjacent to Snoop Dogg’s mansion. Snoop said that he was excited for his new virtual palace and was looking forward to tapping into a new audience.

He said that he was always looking for a new way to connect with his fans and The Sandbox has helped create the future of virtual hangouts, exclusive concerts and NFT drops. The rapper said they would introduce a fresh set of NFTs Dogg style and players would be able to integrate them into their gaming experience, which would help them take it to a whole new level. 

This year has seen a number of celebrities and superstars making their way into the crypto space and Snoop Dogg appears to be one of them.
